As the rain hides
the stars,
as the autumn mist hides the hills,
as the clouds veil the blue of the sky,
so the dark happenings of my lot
hide the shining of Your face from me.
Yet, if I may hold Your hand in the darkness,

Holding his hand in the darkness? I feel like I don't have the strength to do the holding. I'm glad he holds me when I stumble, knowing that he does not fall.

DeleteMy copy of Streams of Living Water arrived today! Unquiet Soul came a few days ago. Now I need a month long silent retreat to finish reading everything I have going plus these two! Also Malcolm Gladwell and Khaled Hosseini each have new books out that I'm panting over.
DeleteI was just talking with some friends tonight about our ever growing to-read piles!!! But isn't it a great problem to have: too many books to read? :-) Yes, I'd like to read Hosseini's book, too; his other two were so good.
