Today Allison's class put on a performance of "Martin the Cobbler". This is a beautiful play about a kind, honest shoemaker who is saddened by losses in his past and who feels that God no longer visits him anymore. Later he comes to realize that the many people whom he meets and helps each day actually are God visiting him. This play is taken from Leo Tolstoy's story "Where Love Is"--the theme being that "Where love is, God is."Allison had the role of an old woman in the play. Here she is in costume, and with her classmates and teacher, Dianne Dowling.
