I love that idea of God showing you He's there by making you feel like your cat is still with you. That's a bittersweet gift, isn't it?

So you've read Hearing God? I've only finished one chapter. It's not a quick read -- so much to think about on every page.Jeanniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15590153368194137758noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1761080938810306228.post-72449651865043539382016-03-24T15:51:35.508-04:002016-03-24T15:51:35.508-04:00Thank you for sharing and commenting on my blog. ...Thank you for sharing and commenting on my blog. Yes, you have had your share of grief too. Soon after my cat died I woke up one night sure he was on my bed. I cried and cried. But maybe that was God's way to telling me that God was with me in my grief. That he loved my pet even more than I did. I never forgot that. I am almost done with that book by the way (willard), and it is excellent. He is a wise man.amyjean1010https://www.blogger.com/profile/13670924297830287732noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1761080938810306228.post-87013774531696287332016-03-22T14:59:37.836-04:002016-03-22T14:59:37.836-04:00Thanks so much, Liz. It's not a set of pious feelings we manufacture or statements we affirm. It's listening for the voice of One who loves us." So perfectly put. Loved hearing that story. No matter what we're going through - good or bad, easy or hard - we listen for God as he speaks into our lives. Listening doesn't come easy for me, and I confess I don't listen in every moment, but I eventually come back to listening for him because He's never left me.Timhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12313216250048083410noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1761080938810306228.post-81533385069150861812016-03-19T10:43:49.504-04:002016-03-19T10:43:49.504-04:00Thank you, Nancy. xoThank you, Nancy. xoJeanniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15590153368194137758noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1761080938810306228.post-51745409389310073932016-03-19T10:37:21.351-04:002016-03-19T10:37:21.351-04:00Beautifully said, Jeannie. That we keep an ear tuned, pay attention to the quiet ways God makes His presence known, keep our face turned to Him even when we don't understand, yes, I agree, this is faith. Peace that passes understanding. Thanks for sharing this. Miss her so.Nancyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02462417955059520512noreply@blogger.com
